Summerland, BC

Scott and I just back from Summerland BC on Sunday! I was such a nice relaxing trip. We got there late Tuesday night and spent every day on the beach. I read mostly... I was a little late getting on the Twilight Series so I had to start at book one and finished book two on the drive home! There was about 5 other girls at the beach with us that where on book four. I got a nice tan... well a nice tan for me. I had tons of freckles, but they always go away the next day.
And now for the pictures... well we didn't take any! I don't know what my problem was, I kept putting off getting batteries then I finally went. BUT then I just didn't take any pictures. Which is too bad because BC is beautiful. I will admit, I am just too self-conscious right now to have pictures taken of me. I have lost over 12 pounds in the last 2 months, but still got 16 more pounds to go. And because of that, I shy away from photos. People gain weight from having babies, I gain weight from just being married!

One thing Scott and I did decided is that we have found a new way of living! Take a look at the pictures of this place!

We are going to buy one of these… we are thinking they are about $100,000. Which we would sell the condo and use the equity and live mortgage free! Isn’t it a great idea?

Now all we need to do in convince Scott’s parents to let us live in front of there house! We can plug into the house and if we wanted too we could just even shower at their house (even though there is a shower in the RV).
I think Scott is less serious than i am... haha, so we will see how our newest plan will actually turn out!

I found a picture on my camera from Summerland... one lonely picture!

I got this picture from the internet, but we did visit main street Summerland, almost every day. The reason for these daily visits... well there was this amazing bakery on main street. They had so many yummy everything. The favorite was this long john donuts that are cute down the middle and whip cream is adding like a sandwich. SO YUMMY!!!

Alyssa & Tara at the Calgary Zoo

Alyssa come to visit me for a few days and I had so much fun with her! I really miss having family in the same city as me and I am thrilled when they come to visit!
Our highlight of the weekend was the Calgary Zoo! It was really hot outside, I got sun burnt and well the animals where also a little hard to find, as they too where hot!
Alyssa and I both agree our favorites where the little babies. Baby elephant, giraffe and best of all the smallest little baby monkey! I wasn't a to get a good shot of the monkey, but you can kind of see it in the one picture though the glass. It isn't able to crawl yet so it just hung out in that spot for a long time.

Family Time

Once a year the whole "Woolley" gang are able to be together for a little family reunion! My brother Jeff and his family live in Ontario so when they make it to Sherwood Park for a visit I can't wait to go home too. This year seemed like a great visit and the summer time is the perfect time to be at my parent's house. They have such a cute relaxing backyard. Jeff and Kristi were even able to come to Calgary for a evening on their way to Edmonton to take Scott and I out for dinner. I love my family!

The whole family
Kristi got this great picture of our husbands.
My dad and Katelyn.

My Parent's Backyard

My sister-in-law Kristi has a great SLR digital camera. I couldn't help stealing it for a bit and taking pictures of my parents beautiful backyard. I had tons of fun trying out all the cool settings. Scott, I want one for Christmas, please!

How Long Has It Been???

According to the date on the previous blog (which was "having fun and being dumb")... it has been.... 1 year and 4 months since I lasted blogged anything. Some of you have given up on me I know, but I am here to assure you that I AM BACK! I am thanking a few friends for their ongoing blog efforts that have kept me interested in blogging. I think Vinnie's blog is my biggest inspiration... I love all the extras, i am going to learn now to make those cool headers!
Now some of you might think... okay so where you been this last year? Well I will be honest and say, right here, same place where I left! Nothing really has changed much. Scott and I work... and work... oh and Scott also goes to school too!
So why haven't I blogged anything... well, I think my life is pretty boring! No babies, no fun trips, just Scott and me working!
But I did quit my one part time job at Pottery Barn to give me more “Tara time”, so maybe that will inspire me to keep this blog up to date! I still have 2 more jobs, but working at Pottery Barn was taking up about 14 hours of my week… plus all the driving time!

Here are some just some random pictures of the last year. There isn’t many… once again, we don’t really have an exciting life, but I am sure that will all change one day when we have a little family! I changed the posted date on a few so they would fit into around the right time frame.

Canada Day 2008

Canada was a special day for Scott. My mom suggested that I take Scott to the Legislative Building since they are open for tours to the public only on Canada day. Since Scott wants to run for some kind of elected government position in the future, I knew he would enjoy it. My sister, Scott and I headed to the leg building.
We were a little early till the doors opened at noon, but we stood at the front waiting. Soon enough the line up started and my sister made sure she was bossy and stayed in the front of the line... well good for my sister!! We where chosen to have a PERSONAL tour with some guy that has a position that Scott knows and he was in Heaven. Alyssa and I just laughed as we watched Scott in total excitement. We got to even tour the main legislation chamber room even before they let anyone else in. Scott also got this hard cover book presented to him on the building!

Scott bought me a Car ~ June 2008

Well... I claim to have bought it myself, but then again, if he sells enough cars a month at his work, the payments are FREE! So I guess we both bought it!

I love my new car! It is a 2008 Limited Rav4 in Blizzard Pearl!! Very pretty! I got rid of my unsafe 1999 Hyundai Accent and have now upgraded to a pretty car that we cant technically afford :)

The accident...

I found this picture and had to share the story behind it.

Scott and I HAD this thing about scaring each other. We would hide in the condo and either jump out or just not say anything. This one time I hid... and totally freaked Scott out so bad he turned around so fast and hit the corner of the wall. It looked more terrible then it was but i freaked out and felt horrible and wouldn't let Scott look at the cut. Which then freaked him out even more because he thought it was serious. Notice the pained look on his face!
Lucky Scotty has shaggy hair and he just changed the way he styles his hair a bit and no one even noticed it.
We try not to scare each other anymore...

Our First Pets

With Scott's birthday money, we decided to get him some fish! He loves fish and use to have tons of them in a large tank at the office before he went on his mission.

We placed the fish right in the living room so we can watch them when we are in the kitchen, at the dining room table, at the computer and watching tv (we live in a 800 sq. ft. condo).

There were 3 fish all together... we named them Wolfgang, Tara Jr. and Macintosh.

But sadly... one by one... they died! And we are yet to test our parenting skill again...

Summer 2007 ~ Trip to the Oregon Coast

Scott wanted this picture... take a look at our KM... over 1000 on 1 tank of gas!

We ate here twice, the food was good and the cheesecake was amazing!

Showing off my freakles!

Having fun and being dumb

Scott and i have been really busy with work and school lately... In other words we haven't posted anything for a long time.
Scott started a new job on Thursday selling cars at Heniger Toyota! He is really excited and after the first day of work came home and told me it was the best day of his life! (so if you need a new car, come visit him) The other sales people are shocked at how much he knows about cars! (and i am sure they are scared that he is going to be WAY better than them!)
I have just been working at Colt like always and going to school a couple times a week at nights to finish up my interior decorating certificate. I only have a few more classes left and i will be done in June so i am looking forward to having time after work to do anything i want!
Here is some random pictures we took a week or so ago. Just being dumb and having fun with ourselves.

tara getting in trouble... like always

Scott LOVES his car and doesnt like it ever getting dirty! SO... when I seem to bring a BIT of snow or mud into the car he gives me these.... EVIL looks!! The pictures explain it all!
