Finally Pictures

We are surviving! Life in Regina is good. We are so busy right now with school for Scott and any spare time i have i am busy working at my part time job. Boston barely gives me any spare time, it seems like he doesn't sleep as much as i read babies should.
Any one have any thoughts? He has a good nap in the morning but lacks a good nap in the afternoon. You would think that would mean he wants to go to bed early but most nights he wont go to bed till 11pm. Any thoughts, any suggestions??!!
We are slowly getting our place together. Here are some pictures of what the place looked like when we first moved in. (Sorry some of the pictures are terrible but it was so humid in the apartment when we got here because they had just cleaned the carpets.)

We went for an afternoon walk today. We have lived her for a few weeks and still haven't taken a walk to the nice lake up the street. I promised my mom i would take a cute picture of Boston wearing this shirt (for those of you who don't know, my maiden name is Woolley).

I love those pictures Tara! The one with you holding Boston is seriously perfect!
I wish I had some advice for you with Boston not sleeping great. I seriously have the hardest time dealing with life on little sleep so I feel your pain. My only suggestion is to use a bottle one night a week and have your hubby get up with him that night so you can get some sleep (we always did that and it helped so much; we still do it minus the bottle part if the kids happen to wake up). Sleeping habits always get better so hang in there.

My advice is work hard at getting the nap. My kids always started to go to bed better at night when they started a good nap schedule which took them til about 5 or 6 months. Just try to establish things that you only do when they are to go to bed, we have music and they got their blanket and soothed and usually would eat right before naps or bed.

Ahhhhhhhh fun! What is this part time job?? Do tell. As for Boston and sleeping, I have no clue what to do. I just force the girls to sleep. No really, I'm not joking. With Brynlee I had quit swaddling her for a bit which was when she stopped having good sleeps during the day- she never loved to be swaddled either. Oh well. Her naps are 9:30ish and 2ish, she usually sleeps an hour in the morning and close to 2 in the afternoon. Every kid is so different with sleep though, so all you can do is try a bunch of things until you find the fit for Boston. With Kalea I would give her a bottle when I put her down for the nap and she usually fell asleep by the time she was done- I know all the books say not to do that, but it worked... And I just wrote a novel, sorry! Good luck!

cute pictures....all I can say about the sleeping thing is that "they" (whoever they are) say that the more a baby/kid sleeps during the day, the better they sleep at night...less exhaustion...I would try just getting him into the routine of having quiet time in the afternoon....and if he cries, let him cry it out. So just let him sit in his crib for an hour and play or coo or do whatever, uninterrupted quiet time....I think if he gets into the routine of that, then he might start taking a nap then, I remember going through that with Scoty. But I think my kids are like a year-a year and a half before they start to just take one nap a day....good luck, let us know what works!

Hey Fullmers!
Glad to hear you are keeping busy. Boston looks like he is getting pudgier. So cute! Olivia is more of a catnappper. She will have 2 or three really short naps at different times during the day. Elle had 2 long naps a day by six months. So i think every child is different. You will probably see a pattern eventually and you can keep trying to put him down at those specific times until finally he just knows it's nap time. Easier said than done I know! Good luck. Can't wait for the after pictures of the apartment. Looks nice and big.
