Boston's 2nd Birthday

Our little baby turned 2 (like forever ago, but I'm playing catch up)!

Scott had a work/school function the night of his birthday (April 19), so we took Boston out for dinner Wednesday night to Montana's.

Boston loved every minute of our little evening.  I made cupcakes for Boston and we finished off the night with cake and candles! I made 24 cupcakes, 1 for every month since he was born! Haha, okay not really, the package I had in the cupboard made 24 cupcakes (since there are only 3 of us, we gave most of them away).

Boston was one lucky guy and got to celebrated two more times after we moved back to Alberta, once with my family and then with Scott's. Scott's mom and sister put together a cute little monster themed party for Boston and his cousins! It was such a nice surprise.

Happy Birthday Boston! We love you!

Happy Birthday Alyssa

Today is my sisters birthday! Sad we were not there to celebrate. But to show how much I loved her, I went and got a pedicure with 5 ladies at work!

27 Years Old

Happy Birthday to me! Scott got up early and made us French Toast (he was making up for me having to tell him, it was my birthday the night before) :)
He then went to a class he had till noon. Boston had a good nap in the morning which was a nice gift to me and I was alone for 2 hours! After Scott got home we went on a hunt for cupcakes. Basically impossible in this town. After we found some, we went for lunch at the mall and shopping. Boston was pretty funny, he was good until i went into a change room and then we had to take him out the the stroller to get him quiet and that was a huge mistake. Boston went crazy... running around the mall. Running in the stores, in the hallways, riping things off shelves. We were those parents, you know the ones you see in the mall and secretly look and think, Why cant they control their child?!?
I took a picture of B in this hat, I thought it was very cute on him but need to wait for it to go on sale at the Gap.
We left after I finished up getting what we went for and Boston fall asleep the moment we put him in the car. Guess he wore himself out with all the running.
After the mall we went back home and I went out by myself to pick up a mirror at Home Sense from my parents for my birthday gift. I also did a few other window shopping including lusting over this deck box i want from JYSK. Wouldn't it be so cute with a bunch cushion on the top with all of Boston's out door toys inside!? And Painted a fun summer color?! I just don't want to spend that much on one....

We finished off my birthday with my favorite pizza, Pango Chicken Taco and cupcakes. I sure hope this is the last birthday I will have to spend NOT with my "twin" sister (we are twin for 4 days till Alyssa's birthday on the 20th) and my family.

Big Birthday Bash

We had Boston's final and biggest birthday party on April 30th in Calgary at Scott's parent's house.

The theme was Cookies & Milk.

The Invite.

The Decor.
The cake says "cookie" on the top, just hard to tell from the picture.

(chocolate covered pretzels made by my lovely sister)

The Birthday Boy.

If I could change anything from the party, I would have asked someone to take pictures through out the party!! I was just too busy entertaining and watching Boston that I didn't think about pictures of the guests and the birthday boy having so much fun!

It was a fun party, thank you for everyone that came and for everyone that helped make the party a successful 1st birthday for Boston!

Party #2

I invited two close friends over and their families for a tiny little party for Boston.
Aunt Alyssa helping Boston blow up his candle!

Boston's Birthday!

Boston's First Party! Scott, Boston and I were all in attendance! We bought the cupcakes from Sobeys... YUMMY!
Note to parents out there.... don't feed a one year old a whole cupcake. Bloating, grumpy and late bedtime will occur!

Sneak Peek

I have spent the last few weeks shopping and crafting for two little boys 1st birthday parties! These little guys are about a month apart and almost have the same name (one letter difference).

Here is a little peek into what I have been creating for the parties...

The first party is in 1 week and the next party is in April!
I love being a MOM and a friend to an amazing MOM how also has been busy crafting and shopping for the parties!

25th Birthday

When I got home from my class, Scott had a gift (really nice Lululemon bag) and cake for me. Then the next day we left for Sherwood Park to spend the weekend with my family. We celebrated my birthday Saturday night with a BBQ and then my sisters birthday Sunday with Lasagna! Alyssa’s birthday is on the 20th, so we enjoyed 4 days of both being 25 years old. We call ourselves the twinners!

Growing up we use to have our birthdays celebrated together… proof below, but now we refuse and want then separate!

This is the cake I made for my birthday, it is a banana cake with cream cheese icing! Recipe from Kraftcanada.com.

Saturday night Edmonton got a huge wind/hail storm. The whole city, including Sherwood Park basically lost power. My friend Krystal was over when it happened and here is one of the pictures we took of the hail.

Alyssa took these picture of herself. I am sure she is loving that I posted it! The other one is here with the card i made her for her birthday.

We didn’t do too much else, went to the temple, visited Melanie and her little family, went to church, Alyssa and I went for a 6.5 Km run Saturday morning. Alyssa and I only have about 4 more weeks till our 10 km race! Which means just over 4 weeks till we leave for New York as well!! And 4 weeks till me brother and Tami gets married. Can’t wait. August 14 – 28 is going to be a busy and FUN few weeks!
I am trying out that website, photobucket for the first time to see if the photos on the blog look better. I got the instructions here... it is more time consuming... but oh well. Maybe i just don't have the hang of it yet?
*K, so i am posting this part after i originally posted this, I do find this new way to add pictures a bit easier in fact. It is a bit more time consuming at first (since you load to photobucket) but you save time when you add the pictures to the blog. Before you had to drag pictures where you wanted them and this way, you just go into the Html and add the link where you want it in the post. EASY, once you figure it out. I had to use the two links below for two different parts. Luckily between Scott and I we figured it out pretty quickly, but we did have to just do a trial and error to see what worked.

ALSO, Scott and I are in a hunt for a nice camera bag. I want it cute, but Scott doesn’t want it girlie. If anyone knows of any out there, let me know!

I turned 25 on Thursday. I definitely wasn’t looking forward to it, I don’t like getting older. But other than that fact, I did have a good birthday. Holly, my friend from work took me out for lunch and that evening I started a beginner quilting class. It was the first class out of 3 and so far I am really glad I signed up. I will post my finished quilt when it is done! People at work made fun of me when they asked me what I was going that night for my birthday, when I told them about my quilting class they said, your turning 25, not 65!

Happy Birthday Dad!

I wanted to do a little shout out to my father! He turned 60 years old on the 17th.

The reasons why Edwin Leo Woolley is the best day ever:
1. He never gets mad... the only times growing up that I can remember him getting mad was when one of the kids upset mom.
2. He loves my mom. He does everything for her. My mom is like me and loves list and she makes a "honey to do list" and he actually does them! My parents are a great example of a happy eternal couple.
3. He is strong in the church. My dad knows everything to do with the church (well at least my simple level questions). He always has callings that devote a lot of time and he never complains and goes about his calling loving it.
4. My dad is always giving. He and my mom have tired their hardest to make sure us kids had everything we needed. We all played sports growing up and they made sure they had the money to support us, even when they had no money themselves.
5. He has a great personality. My dad makes jokes all the time, some aren’t so funny, but the way he smiles and laughs at his jokes you can’t help but laugh too.
6. He is great at making breakfast! Every time I go to Sherwood Park to visit, he always makes a yummy breakfast! I also remember in High School and after when I still lived at home, my dad would also make my lunches!

I am sure i can go on forever, but to end it here are some pictures of my dad.

My dad and me at my wedding.

My dad a bit younger (this was the only picture i had on hand, i took a picture of a picture)

My dad and my niece Katelyn this past summer.

So Happy 60th Dad! Love You!

Happy Birthday Scott

It was Scott's Birthday yesterday... here is how we celebrated!

I woke up around 9... got a few things done around the house, then woke Scott up to make him waffles!

As we eat waffles, we watched Elf!

Then we got ready for church... went to church. Can't let those Primary and Nursery kids down by not showing up :)

When we got home, Scott open his present that was hiding under the bed. As you can tell from the pictures, he was very shocked to see what i had given him. He asked for Guitar Hero - World Tour for Christmas but since he was expecting it, i thought i would give it to him for his birthday instead... throw him off a bit!

I love Scott's new vest. His mom gave it to him for his birthday. They had his birthday dinner last sunday for him.

After the gift opening, we had our friends Colby and Ashley over for dinner. I made chicken enchillads and chocolate cake with a oero creamcheese middle (Scott's requests).

And today is our 2nd year wedding anniversary! Happy 2 years Scotty!

I wanted to post this picture, because i looks nice outside. According to www.weather.ca the max temperature the day we had our pictures taken was -0.9C (but i swear it was colder than that) and today and tomorrow... well it's like -35C with the windchill!

Weekend Update

Scott and I had a wonderful weekend in Sherwood Park. I love going to visit home and seeing my family and friends. Another major reason i love going away is i get to spend time with my hubby. Scott normally works every Saturday, so when we go out of town i get my husband for a full day! Friday night we had a wedding to go to. My friend Sarah got married to a really cute Australian. I didn't take any pictures, but I found this one on facebook (hope you don't mind Colette). They are a very gorgeous couple. Sarah played professional Volleyball in Europe and he plays professional Rugby in Australia. Couldn't get more perfect than that! Congratulations Sarah and Chris.

After the wedding, we went over to our friends Breanne and Jordan's house. I have only seen their baby once before this weekend, so i was looking forward to seeing cute little Avery.

Saturday was shopping! Scott loves west ed, but due to lack of money we don't go to the mall very often. I think it had been almost a year since we went to West Edmonton Mall. Scott loves his abercrombie and finch. My parents gave him an early birthday present (money) to buy something new. We decided instead of clothes (Scott barely wears causal clothes anymore because of work) he was going to buy a nice lap top cover for his new lap top he ordered online the day before.

This was his early Birthday and Christmas present from me. Scott waited for me to get home from school on Thursday night so he could open it with me. The way Scott was so excited to open the Mac book, you would have thought he was like 5 years old on Christmas day.
