Condo for Sale

Want to buy a condo, PLEASE!!!

We officially placed the condo on the market last Saturday and so far have had 3 showings, but no offers. Hope it doesn't take too long to sell...

My place hasn't been this clean and tidy in a long time so i thought i would share. Also I want to be able to look back on this place and remember how bright and fun it was, Our First Home!

Oh How Fast They Grow

I was putting Boston in his car seat yesterday afternoon and i was shocked how big he looked. I can believe how fast babies grow!

Boston 1 Week Old & 7 Weeks Old

All this week I have started packing and getting my condo ready to place on the market.... organizing and de-junking.

My goal is by sunday to be done and ready for a realtor to come. Wish me luck!

A Busy Life

It has been a while since i last posted anything. Life has been busy and a huge adjustment. Baby takes up most of my time which i love but at the same time, i have so much i need to be doing right now!
I have had 2 baby showers and am very thankful for Scott's mom and sister who did my one in Calgary and for Breanne who did my one in Edmonton. Boston got tons of great clothes and books! I also got a bunch of money to buy him the stroller he wanted (okay maybe i wanted it, but he will be happy with my decision i am sure).
Boston had his first photo shoot a few weeks ago, click below for a preview of how great he looked!

Boston had his baby blessing on May long weekend. We (My mom, Scott's mom and me) looked everywhere for a outfit for the blessing that would fit him and in the end found a funny outfit that barely did, but i loved it. My brother and sister-in-law sent Boston a tie from Ontario and even though it went to his knees I put it on him.

Picture of Boston and Daddy sleeping.

I spent the last week at my parents house in Sherwood Park. I loved being home for that long of time. We went shopping, went to a yummy cupcake store, eat great Italian pizza at a yummy restaurant, saw tons of friends, hung out with family and enjoyed Boston and all the attention he got.

Boston and I had our 6 week check up at my actual doctor on Thursday. I have to say i really like my doctor and glad to be away from the maternity clinic doctors (they were not too friendly or helpful). Boston weighed a massive 9 lbs 1 oz! I told myself after the 6 week check up, I will start eating healthy and working out. SO Monday is going to be the first day of healthy Tara and also healthy Scott. Scott recently expressed the idea of starting to run and i have always wanted him to run with me! We are going to have to wait maybe another month before we take Boston. I have a running stroller but have heard you are not to run with little babies... anyone know for sure???

Today was a great day and it was also a first for a lot of things!

1. Boston fit into his first pair of jeans and cute shirt!

2. We used my new stroller for the first time!

3. We went to the zoo!

Daddy

Boston being eaten by a bear and mommy trying to save him...
4. First time i walked for more than 20 minutes and i had no pain! We walked around the zoo for hours and i feel great!

5. Boston experienced mommy's favourite restaurant, Open Sesame. Scott and I went with our friends (the lady who did his baby photos) and their baby who is less than 2 weeks older than Boston.

AND last but not least... we are officially moving to Regina! I am fine with the idea, only for 12 months for Scott to do his Masters but when i look at my condo and all the work i need to do to get it ready to put on the market i get overwhelmed!! Scott and i started to look at places online to rent and i got overwhelmed! Basically i am overwhelmed but fine with the idea of being in Regina, just getting there is stressful!

Boston Hartley Fullmer

Boston arrived Monday, April 19th at 3:55am. We where shocked that he decided to come 4 weeks early but i was also relieved because he was on his way to being a larger baby! They were even sending me for an ultrasound that Wednesday to see the size of the baby because i was measuring 2 weeks bigger and had been for a while. Also the fact i was a 10 lb baby, the doctors knew i was worried.

My labour story...
All weekend i was joking with my sister and parents (who where in town helping me get everything left on my list for baby), that she needed to help me start labour... thinking that maybe if we went for a long walk I would get things going and the baby would come in a week (after the following saturday because Scott had an exam on April 24th). We never did go on a walk but i did go into labour...
Sunday afternoon Scott was looking at my belly and said look, you have stretch marks! I looked and after 8 months of nothing, over night i had major stretch marks all over the bottom half of my belly! I was so shocked and asked my sister and she didn't remember seeing them at all that weekend. I thought this was so odd but didn't think at all that maybe the baby dropped suddenly and caused these stretch marks!
That Sunday my family left after church and we went over to Scott's parents house for dinner. We left around 10pm and when i went to bed at 10:30 i remember thinking i felt a bit of pressure down there but didn't think anything of it. I remember waking up a few times and thinking, i feel like i have a cramp but went right back to sleep. I finally got out of bed at 12:30 and went to the bathroom thinking my cramp was because i had to pee. But the cramps were a different type of cramp and then i had another "sign" of labour when i went to the bathroom and thought back to the day because i had another "sign" which i had pushed that one off because it could have been anything. Scott was up doing his seminary lesson still and i told him something was wrong. We played around with the idea that nothing was wrong but finally decided to call Health Link. The lady said, well since you are only 36 weeks, having cramps and also had a tiny bit of bleeding, she told me to go to the hospital. I wasn't packed yet but did have a list, so i grabbed a bunch of stuff as we took our time going.
I was having contractions but was too busy getting ready to time them. I would mentally time them and think that they were not consistent and must be braxton hicks and started to feel dumb doing to the hospital. On the way, i started to time them using the clock on the dashboard and scott was too. After 5 minutes he would look at me and i would look at him and i would say, k, yes i am having another one. At this point we knew they were consistent and 5 minutes apart.
We got to the hospital after 2am and they hooked me up to see if i was contracting. The nurse did tell me that they could just be indigestion or braxton hicks. The nurse came back and said well you are definitely contracting. She left and came back and said the doctor is on the way.
By this time my contractions were getting stronger. Once the doctor arrived she check to see if my water had broke and then she said after this contraction she would she how dilated i was. She left the room and i turned to Scott and said, if i am only like 2 centimetres dilated i am getting an epidural, this hurts! At this point, i wasn't sure i wanted one. My doctor came back and checked me and said, well your 9 centimetres!
The rushed me off to delivery and the doctor sat down to finish breaking my water (guess it had already started) and by then i was 10 centimetres and time to push. I pushed and Boston arrived at 3:55 am completely healthy and perfect!

Going Home after 2 long nights and 3 long days.

We had to go get some light treatment because Boston had high levels of Jaundice. He spent 13 hours in the tanning bed a week after he was born.

Welcome to our family Boston!

Update - What Happens when you put an iPod though the washer

Just wanted to update on a previous post.

What REALLY happens when you put an ipod though the washer... YOU replace the washer! After 2 months of procrastination from someone other than me, we finally got the washer fixed today, only to find out, it isn't fixable!

Thanks to Scott's parents for letting us do laundry at their house over the last 2 months, hopefully we can find a replacement washer soon!

5 Weeks

Exactly 5 weeks left till i am due! I am nervous and excited. I want him to come early but i think every mom does.
We are getting more and more ready physically (I am not there emotionally yet). My parents come for the Easter weekend and helped out a lot. Sometimes i just need someone to hold my hand to motivate me to do this. My mom is this person!
My easter weekend goal was sewing baby blankets. I needed someone to just help me decided what fabric should go with what and also the size of the blankets and my mom was the person i needed. They left Sunday and on Monday and Tuesday i sewed all day (took those 2 days off work). I only have one more blanket to sew but i need to wash the fabric first and my washer is still broken (hopefully will be fixed this week). I messed up on a few of them, i sewed 8 in total, but hopefully anyone holding my baby wont notice and i am 100% sure baby wont notice!

We also bought a car seat that weekend. We had a coupon for $30 off and in the end decided to go with a more expensive car seat (i only cared about the color, Scott cared about everything else).
I also bought a bassinet for the baby. I couldn't comprehend spending over $120 for the moses basket and then another $50 for the stand, so i went the cheap way and bought a plain basket and foam to go inside for less than $40!
Here is the start to my nursery, honestly this is the only corner i have done anything with yet... i decided to go with this owl pattern from Dwell Studio! It will show up more later with the crib, moses basket and a few blankets. The chair is big, i regret that but hope that if we have to move it will fit better in the new room. But it was cheap and my dad was kind enough to paint it white! My friend recovered the cushions and we bought the lamp just last night from Crate and Barrel! The little table and basket underneath came back with us from Arizona in February. I think the table was $10 from target and the basket was also $10.

Looking at this picture i really want to paint... i hope we find out soon if we are going to move away for school...

Thankful Thursday

Today i am thankful for my condo building and that fact it wasn't the one on fire in Calgary today.

Check out this link...
http://calgary.ctv.ca/servlet/an/local/CTVNews/20100318/CGY_Fire_Millrise_100318/20100318/?hub=CalgaryHome

I think this really hit home and i started crying watching the news. Millrise is just one community over from my community and the buildings are almost exactly the same. The only difference is mine is 1 year older and only 3 floors and this one is 4. But i do believe they are the same builder and shaped like mine. I couldn't even think what i would do or feel if this happened to us. My heart goes out to anyone that has been involved in a fire. It is just sooo sad!

On a happier note, i am also 32 weeks. I took these pictures on Monday after my sister reminded me it was the 15th of March and I am due the 15th of May... exactly 2 months left! And no my belly button has not popped, that is just a crease in my shirt.

People keep asking me if i am ready for baby to come and honestly, is anyone ever really ready? K, maybe people are more ready than i am right now. I am missing a lot of important baby items and also missing a lot of important information (which i plan to start learning Wednesday as my prenatal classes start). Oh well... I am taking 2 days off at the beginning of April and enjoying a 5 day weekend. I am planning on sewing a bunch of baby blankets and also start to organize baby clothes.
The baby bedding i want is on order and can take up to 10 more weeks. But the cushions to my rocking chair are at my friends house right now being recovered! I also want to paint the babies room so bad, anyone that knows me knows, i love color and decorating but we don't know 100% if we are going to be here in September and I don't want to paint if we are moving. We wont hear back from the schools till another month or more.
So am i ready, NO, but a few of the reason are out of my control. We are just keeping busy. Scott is focusing on his last classes and also applying for tons of internships for May. He has to do one to complete his degree. Scott also was called to teach seminary 3 days a week at 6:30 in the morning. He started when we got back from Arizona. He seems to be enjoying it, i just hope the youth are enjoying him!
I am just going to work and when i get home and on weekends i de-junk and organize. I am thankful for Scott's sister Amanda as she is letting us store a bunch of boxes at her house that use to be in the spare room.

Happy Thankful Thursday!

A Week In the Sun

I love the sun, I love shopping and I love vacations! Our week off was great, it had its downs, which mostly only included the flying. I have learned never do transfer flights, especially with Scott! But the transfer flights were all that was left when I booked this trip back in August. But we got there and we got home and no more complaining or even talking about the flights, K Scott ;)

We shopped a lot (not all is for us, mostly baby)…

We drove around in this…

The car rental guys said they have never seen a VW Bug as a car rental and look at all the room it didn’t have!

We went to visit Scott’s missionary companion Mark, his wife Cami and their daughter Brooklyn. (It was darker in the house and the picture didn't turn out good, i was using my mini video camera to take the picture and Brooklyn was ready for bed!)

I hit 28 weeks (taken just outside the door of the Fullmer's condo)!

This is what happens to bananas when you leave them out since October… wanted to show Ruth this one!

Ruth's Christmas present from Scott and I, looks good (we bought her the Relax sign and put it up)!

As seen on Oprah… Chipotle Grill, yummy!

Scott liked this sign, posted at Chipotle Grill.

Thursday we took a drive out to the country. It was pretty and different from what we are use to in Alberta.

Cant wait to go back!

What happens when you put an iPod through the washer?

Take a nice ipod touch... somehow put it in the already sorted laundry basket (Scott did this)...
Not notice is when you put the load of darks into the washer this morning (I did this)...

And this is what happens...

iPod dent and of course not turning on (hard to see but dented in the middle on the bottom)!

Pieces broken off the washer and broken washer!

Holes in the clothes because they were ripping across the broken washer!

This was our great start to our Sunday morning before church... but at least we are headed off to Arizona tomorrow and don't have to deal with the broken washer for a week!
