Loving some Lamp

Boston's current favourite hangout
I've removed almost everything at his level, but now with no effort he can climb onto the couch and then onto the side table.. does this mean I need to remove my side table too?? Also his other danger fact is he gets off the couch head first. I can't seem to teach him how to go down feet first. Any suggestions?

Let the fun begin!!
We never had the couch problem but we did have huge issues teaching the kids to crawl down the stairs backwards......we just spent huge chunks of time practising over and over! Good luck.

Tara, with Tristan I NEEDED to teach him to go up and down the stairs because we have so many so for about a week I would bring him to the top of the stairs, have him go on his bum, turn him around and help him go backwards and I would say, "on your bum" every time he was at the top of the stairs. With the couch, just help him turn around and go feet first for a while and see how that goes. We would also allow Tristan to fall a bit, with us holding him if that makes sense, so he would understand that if you did go over, it would be scary. Hope this helps!
